Ottawa County Fair celebrating 50th year

This year the Ottawa County Fair is celebrating its 50th year. To celebrate, the Fair Board has lowered admission to $5. There will also be a 50th anniversary fireworks display Friday night at the Demolition Derby. On Monday night, over 100 past and present county and fair royalty gathered together to celebrate the 50 years over a dinner before the crowning of this year’s fair king and queen.

The 2014 Ottawa County fair royalty are Madison Sheahan and Nathan Purk. First runners up are Alysia Harrison and Micah Mensing. Second runners up are Kelsey Salyer and Kevin Baumgartner.

These is an antique tractor display near the Fair Board office, a baby animal barn put on by the Ace of Clubs 4H club, animals, 4H project displays, an art show, food vendors, rides and much more at the fair.
