A feast for the eyes at Appetite for the Arts

Friday night, August 15, through Sunday, August 17, the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council held its seventh annual Appetite for the Arts festival at the Liberty Aviation Museum hangar at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport.

On Friday night The Main Course gala took place. There was a sit down buffet catered by 1812 Food & Spirits and Cielo Grande complete with a cash bar, dessert and dancing. The music of the night was provided by The Naked Bacon Band and The Junk. There was a silent action and raffles along with the artists’ booths on display for gala goers to get a sneak peak at the show.

Saturday and Sunday lovers of the arts gathered in the hangar to browse and buy. Artists with ties to Ottawa County, of all mediums, established and emerging, were on display at the event. There was also live music throughout the day and a special appearance by a World War II U.S. Navy Bomber that flew into the airport.

Best of show winner Dani Herrera with Juror’s choice winner Greg Justus.

Winning best of show was Dani Herrera. The three juror’s choice winners were Britanee LeeAnn, Kristen Dukat and Greg Justus.
