The Lakeside Federation of Women will hold its 118th annual convention at Lakeside on Wednesday, July 11.
The meeting will begin at Green Gables, historic home of the Lakeside Women’s Club. The morning program will feature Jan Rader from Columbus. She will give a history of American Sign Language and teach a song in sign.
Luncheon will be held at the Lakeside United Methodist Church. Following lunch, Karen Westgate will present beautiful harp music. She teaches at Terra State College and gives private lessons. She performs at a variety of events.
Afternoon speaker will be Polly Albrecht from Lakeside as she tells about “Aprons Hanging from My Clothesline.” Passionate about history and collecting antiques, she will share stories from the past and her love of aprons.
Lakeside Federation of Women is made up of women’s clubs who meet to study a variety of subjects. Clubs in this area include Port Clinton, Sandusky and Lakeside.
