The Marblehead Bank, the Peninsula’s only community bank with local headquarters, is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to their Board of Directors.
John E. Starcher of Marblehead has accepted the role of board member for The Marblehead Bank. “John brings a unique connection to the local community through his role as the owner of a small local business, Starcher Enterprises. In addition, he has ties to the Marblehead community as President Pro-Tem of the Marblehead Village Council,” said William Tuttamore, President of the Marblehead Bank.
Joining a six member board comprised of business leaders, community citizens and shareholders, John brings a broad knowledge of governance and a sharp focus on local issues. “The Marblehead Bank is committed to the Marblehead Peninsula and the greater Ottawa County area and the Board of directors, now including John, will continue the strong guidance for our bank,” stated President Tuttamore.
Mr. Starcher replaces longtime board member and past Bank President David King who has retired and moved out of the area. “I wish to thank Dave for his many years of dedicated service to the board and know that his retirement from the board creates new opportunities to be with his family,” said Tuttamore. Mr. Starcher will also serve as a Director for the bank’s holding company, Marblehead Bancorp.
“The Marblehead Bank is stronger than ever and we have just completed our 105th anniversary. Adding John Starcher to this committed Board of Directors enables us to position the bank for the next steps in our successful history,” said Thomas Lane, Chairman of The Marblehead Bank Board of Directors.
