After calling bingo and giving out prizes for Otterbein North Shore (ONS) residents, Marblehead Bank President Bill Tuttamore presented ONS with a donation allowing them to purchase a Vital Signs Monitor, also known as “Nurse on a Stick.” It combines into one compact unit several basic monitoring devices critical to patient care. Rather than having several pieces of equipment to carry, nurses will be able to check blood pressure, oxygen levels, pulse and oral temperature by using one singular unit that is easily transported via a stand with basket and wheels. Nurses will work much more efficiently with this impressive unit that is flexible, fast and accurate. Every resident will benefit from the use of this equipment; some monthly and some multiple times a day.
Otterbein North Shore and the Marblehead Bank have a long-standing partnership. The Bank has a satellite office on the ONS campus where residents can do their banking efficiently and conveniently.
Otterbein North Shore is a Continuum Care Retirement Community offering independent and assisted living, as well as short-term rehabilitation in the Jane Baker House.
