Otterbein Home Health was named to the HomeCare Elite for 2013, a national rating of the top 25% home health agencies in the country. The list was based on data compiled by National Research Corporation, and announced in conjunction with DecisionHealth.
HomeCare Elite™ is a list of the most successful home care providers in the United States. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Now in its eighth year, this market-leading review names the top agencies based on a series of performance measures, including quality outcomes, best practices implementation (process measure), the patient experience, quality improvement and consistency and financial performance.
“The 2013 HomeCare Elite winners demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and serving as leaders in the home health community. Their success is a tribute that managing healthcare data and utilizing it for improvement initiatives lead to high quality care, and we recognize them for their outstanding achievements,” said Mary Oakes, senior vice president of post-acute at National Research. “We are excited to showcase the winners and reward them for their well-deserved honor.”
“We are thrilled to be included in this prestigious list. At Otterbein we work hard to make exceptional quality care available to those we serve in communities throughout southwestern Ohio,” said Jill Hreben, President and CEO of Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices. “Our mission at Otterbein is to continually seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons and making it on this list helps validate that we are living and striving to achieve our mission every day. Our Home Health program is helping our mission to spread beyond our own doors and out into the communities that we serve.”
