Jodie McCallum & Company Fine Arts Gallery announces the recent addition of a selection of clay works by sculptor Andrea Moon, Red Lodge, MT.

Moon is a native of Oak Harbor. She learned production and throwing techniques and began creating ceramic ware at an early age at Packer Creek Pottery in Genoa. She went on to attend Bowling Green State University, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in 3-Dimentional Studies. In 2009 at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, Moon completed her Masters of Fine Art in ceramics with an emphasis in sculpture. Immediately following, she served as assistant professor, community liaison for arts, and Fine Arts curriculum developer at Texas A & M International University, Laredo, TX.

Moon completed a year long Clay Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Art and Craft, Gatlinburg, TN. in 2011, and most recently at the Red Lodge Clay Center, Red Lodge, MT. in 2012. Her ceramic and mixed media work has been exhibited in South Carolina, Texas, Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico and now in Marblehead at the McCallum Gallery. In September Andrea joined the Red Lodge Clay Center as Residency and Communications Coordinator. She resides in the Montana Big Sky Valley town of Red Lodge, at the foot of Bear Tooth Mountains.

Moon’s airy, evocative sculptures and functional pottery compliment the variety of fine arts within the McCallum Gallery.
