Mel and Barb Ayers announce the April 16 opening of Ciao Bella Ristorante Italiano, their newest restaurant offering in the Port Clinton area. Located at 3880 Harbor Light Landing Drive off of State Route 53 in Harbor Light Landing, an open-air entertainment destination, Ciao Bella will be open year round for both lunch and dinner.
Expanding on their successful Nagoya Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi restaurants in Port Clinton and Perrysburg, the Ayers bring Ciao Bella and first-class Italian cuisine to the communities of the North Coast. Ciao Bella is a 5,000 square foot restaurant seating 165 diners. It offers a full service bar and lounge, outdoor waterside dining, traditional Italian cuisine and an extensive international wine list. The décor features rustic Italian influences.
Ciao Bella offers an array of Italian dishes that showcase the talents of Chef Paul Matthews and include soups, salads, pasta, sandwiches, handmade pizza, traditional Italian dinners, desserts and gelato. “Paul’s impressive background as Chef and Executive Chef in the Greater Toledo area significantly enhances our ability to provide our guests with outstanding quality, innovative style and an unforgettable dining experience,” said Mel Ayers. Ciao Bella also offers 15 vegetarian selections and more than 20 gluten-free options, as well as humanely-raised veal.
The bar and lounge area has a fireplace and seating for 30 people. Guests can enjoy a full menu, wines from all over the world, specialty cocktails and after-dinner drinks. Happy Hour will be Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. and will offer small plates for the bar customer as well as discounts on beer, wine and spirits for all dining customers. For seasonal outdoor dining, Ciao Bella provides a patio with Italian-style pergolas and festival lighting that overlooks the shopping center and water feature at Harbor Light Landing.
Ciao Bella also provides a private dining room for special events, including family style dinners for groups of up to 16 people. Ciao Bella has a full carryout menu featuring “Basta Pasta”, carryout packages which provide a full dinner for up to four people, for boaters, families and anyone on the run.
Ciao Bella offers daily specials for lunch and dinner and “Turnaround Tuesdays”. Every time you turn around on Tuesdays, there’s a different type of pasta being served on your plate. “It’s a great opportunity to try many of our delicious pasta dishes and gives guests a chance to just sit back and enjoy while our staff serves a sampling of the chef’s choice of pastas for the evening,” said Barb Ayers. The “Turnaround Tuesday” special includes soup or salad, homemade focaccia bread and unlimited pasta.
