Todd Puckett is Kevin, the childhood friend and potential love interest of Kat, portrayed by Katherine Gauthier, in Playmakers' production of "Mom's Gift".
Playmakers Civic Theatre, 604 W. Sixth Street, Port Clinton, will present a pre-season fund raiser on Aug. 29 and 31. The production is "Mom's Gift", a brand-new play by award-winning playwright Phil Olson. The storyline reveals a warm comedy with a message. Mom has died, but shows up at her husband's birthday party as a ghost with a mission. Like Clarence in "It's A Wonderful Life", she has to accomplish a task to earn her wings. What that task is will be mom's quest. There are so many aspects of her family's relationships that need to be fixed. The conflicts are resolved with humor and lots of love.
"Mom's Gift" is directed by Brenda Hensley. The talented cast is comprised of Matt Parker, Brenda Hensley. Katherine Gauthier, Mara Mossman, Louise Retzer, Todd Puckett, and Sylvia Chappel.
Tickets for this show are $150 per person. The show will be free to anyone that has purchased a 2013-2014 Season Ticket. Season Tickets will be available for purchase on performance nights, Thursday, Aug. 29 and Saturday, Aug. 3. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Box office will open at 6:30 p.m. prior to each show.
