Modern Bliss Bringing the party to the Walleye Festival Friday evening
Modern Bliss, Philadelphia’s premier party band, will be performing at the Walleye Festival on Friday evening. Modern Bliss is a 6 piece party band that will bring the excitement and fun to any occasion. Based out of Philadelphia, PA, this eclectic band plays all genres of music and literally has something for everyone. Their talented musicians and vocalists bring an enormous amount of energy to the cover band scene with their awesome mash-ups. MB has played all over the eastern seaboard from Vermont to Key West.
The KingBees Blues Band Saturday afternoon
The KingBees Blues Band will be performing on Saturday afternoon in the Entertainment Tent at the Walleye Fest. The group’s repertoire ranges from blues to funk to jazz to as well many of everyone's popular favorites. They perform selections from classic Blues artists such as Junior Wells, The Blues Brothers and B.B King. Other more mainstream selections include R&B classics from performers like Ray Charles and Wilson Pickett, Elvis, the Beatles and the Stray Cats to just name a few. Popular music selections include material from artists like Van Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Rolling Stones and The Allman Brothers.
Fifty Amp Fuse Headlining Saturday Evening
The Walleye Festival is excited to welcome Fifty Amp Fuse to our entertainment lineup on Saturday evening. Whether rocking the USS Midway in San Diego, the House of Blues in Las Vegas, the Experience Music Project in Seattle, or Ford Field in their hometown of Detroit, Fifty Amp Fuse is the ultimate live music experience. Fifty Amp Fuse has become a favorite band for the celebrity set, corporations and organizations, festivals, cool music joints and private events. Come join Fifty Amp Fuse as they rock America.
Legends of Rock to perform Sunday afternoon
Under the big entertainment tent on Sunday, May 25, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Legends of Rock are rocking the Walleye Festival.
"Legends of Rock" pays tribute to The Beatles and Elvis. The first show is all Beatles music featuring ex "Back Beat" member Dan Moyer portraying John Lennon. This set consists of mostly early era Beatles music from 64 to 66 and will have you bopping around in your seat. The second set is all Elvis featuring Walt Sanders as Elvis. A variety of songs that span Elvis' entire career will be played including a few medleys that deliver clusters of hits served up "Vegas-style". Walt has performed in and out of the state for more than a decade at festivals and casinos. The back-up band is made up of veteran musicians with a combined 85 years of experience.
THe jUNK headlining Sunday night
Headlining Sunday evening at the Walleye Festival is THe jUNK. THe jUNK is a 5 piece PARTY band from Bowling Green, featuring 3 guitars, bass, drums and 2 vocalists. THe jUNK keep the PARTY going all night with their eclectic blend of musical styles that range from 70's classic rock, to 80's pop, to hip-hop/R&B.
They play songs by the following artists: Beastie Boys, Young MC, Run DMC, Metallica, Salt n Pepa, TLC, Cake, Dr. Dre, Twisted Sister, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Naughty By Nature, 311, Sublime, Styx, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, AC/DC, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Billy Idol, Rage Against The Machine, Prince and The Revolution, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Duran Duran, and many more.
Chris Shutters performing on Memorial Day
Gifted songwriter, guitarist and vocalist, Chris Shutters will be performing at the Walleye Festival on Monday, May 26, from 12-4 p.m.
Chris Shutters (28) whose prodigal talent and relentless passion are immediately recognizable in every performance. His blues-laced rock and roll originals showcase his innate ability to combine unmistakable soul with unbelievable technical prowess.
Chris performs solo and as a featured performer with many other artists. He recently released his first CD entitled “A World Apart,” with various other collaborators. Live performances are where Chris really shines as he intersperses his 150+ originals with a wide selection of cover songs. He connects with audiences and maintains high-energy for hours on end.
Chris has opened for such national acts as Bad Company, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Ted Nugent, Molly Hatchet, Eddie Money, Eddie “The Chief” Clearwater and Frijid Pink. He performs often with Country recording artist Nathan Osmond and he recently finished up the last leg of a tour as the front man with the Kofi Baker Cream Experience.
