Fresh veggies and flowers could be yours. This year, the Community Garden at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 Church Road, Marblehead, is taking a different direction. Instead of one big garden, the space is being divided into plots (approximately 20 feet x 15 feet) and inviting anyone from the congregation and community who would like to plant and tend their own garden to plant a plot.

With the cold weather well behind us, the lighthouse and museum have been cleaned and special tours are now taking place.
The regular hours have been changed as there were more people waiting for the lighthouse to open, and not as many near closing time. The weekday hours are: noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday after Memorial Day through Friday before Labor Day; 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday evenings June through August; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of each month May through October. The last tour to climb the lighthouse is 15 minutes before closing.

At the regular meeting of the Danbury Township Trustees held May 9, the following business was conducted:
• Road Superintendent Brett Waldron reported he met with Marblehead Village and LaFarge officials regarding the Lakepoint Park culvert replacement project, an undermine on Erie Beach Road was reported to the Sanitary Engineer and County Engineer, the new Ford F-450 was delivered and is being outfitted, road department employees attended a deferred compensation meeting, the trees donated by the Lions Club were planted in a temporary location until the drainage project at the dog park is complete, weed spray is being applied as weather permits, approximately 40 tons of millings were spread on the road to the brush collection site for dust control and potential spraying for mosquito control will be researched.
