Santa Hustle Half Marathon & 5k Returns to Sandusky its second year

Thousands of Santas will be running through the streets of Sandusky for the Second Annual Santa Hustle Half Marathon & 5k on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. Runners will be starting and finishing at Castaway Bay Resort and Waterpark.

Upon registration, all participants receive a free Santa hat, beard and t-shirt. The race will also feature outrageous holiday decorations including a 50 foot Santa Claus, Rudolph, snowman, festive music and cookie and candy stations along the course. The Santa Hustle Cedar Point Half Marathon & 5k benefits locally known Teen Leadership Corps and is also partnering with Heartbeat in Sandusky. Teen Leadership Corps strives for every community to receive the benefits from high school community service programs. The Santa Hustle Race Series also benefits nationally known Toys for Tots and encourages runners to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be distributed to needy children in the local community.

Since starting in Chicago five years ago, the Santa Hustle has come a long way from the days of its first event.  People everywhere have fallen in love with the race that encourages its participants to have fun while staying healthy.  Today, the Santa Hustle has become one of America’s largest growing race series, with over 3,500 runners expected to compete in the Cedar Point event alone, it is easy to see why the Santa Hustle has received national attention from major media outlets like the Travel Channel, ESPN, and the Rachel Ray Show!
