Santa Hustle Half Marathon & 5k Returns to Sandusky its second year

Thousands of Santas will be running through the streets of Sandusky for the Second Annual Santa Hustle Half Marathon & 5k on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. Runners will be starting and finishing at Castaway Bay Resort and Waterpark.

Upon registration, all participants receive a free Santa hat, beard and t-shirt. The race will also feature outrageous holiday decorations including a 50 foot Santa Claus, Rudolph, snowman, festive music and cookie and candy stations along the course. The Santa Hustle Cedar Point Half Marathon & 5k benefits locally known Teen Leadership Corps and is also partnering with Heartbeat in Sandusky. Teen Leadership Corps strives for every community to receive the benefits from high school community service programs. The Santa Hustle Race Series also benefits nationally known Toys for Tots and encourages runners to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be distributed to needy children in the local community.

On Sunday, Dec. 15, Cedar Point is hosting its second annual Santa Hustle half marathon and 5k. The event features a festive run though Cedar Point, holiday music, cookies and a post-race party. The 13.1 mile half marathon begins at 9 a.m. at Castaway Bay and is followed by a 3.1 mile race at 9:30 a.m. All participants receive a Santa hat, beard and customized dri-fit shirt to wear. Participants and spectators can also spread holiday cheer by donating unopened toys to the Toys for Tots boxes at the race.
