Oak Harbor Students Perform with Toledo Symphony

On the evening of Nov. 28, Oak Harbor High School was the scene of sold-out performance that featured the Toledo Symphony Orchestra with Oak Harbor High School Choir and Band. Students were provided with the opportunity to perform alongside professional musicians. The performance also featured members of the Woodmore High School Chorale and Oak Harbor alum Kia Frank. The event was sponsored by the Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools Music Boosters.

Cookie walk at ICC

Paula Eberle, at the Immaculate Conception Church cookie walk, with her purchase. Paula baked cookies for the ICC cookie walk last Saturday and for the Humane Society cookie walk the same day. Paula has a very busy oven, as she also bakes cookies as gifts for friends and family.

“No Room at the Inn” weekend at ICC

At Immaculate Conception Catholic Church last weekend over 100 manger scenes were displayed. For the eighth year individuals and families brought in their personal manger scenes, from miniature to nearly life-sized, to share with others.

We here at the Ottawa County Common Pleas Court believe we have a duty to better inform the public about the legal system. To that end I will be providing informative articles to be published on a periodic basis.
My name is Bruce Winters and I am the Judge of the Ottawa County Court of Common Pleas General and Domestic Relations Divisions. I have worked in public service since 1975 when I began with the Oak Harbor Police Department. I subsequently served as a probation officer for the Ottawa County Juvenile Court, and as Ottawa County assistant prosecuting attorney.

Port Clinton unit of Ottawa County Holiday Bureau needs your help

The Port Clinton Unit of the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau serves the city of Port Clinton and Bay, Erie and Portage Townships.  This year it is anticipated 425 families will need to be served.  Non-perishable food items and monetary donations are greatly needed.  Food items may be dropped off at Magruder Hospital or Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union. To provide a $10 certificate for each family to buy meat $4,250 is needed.
