Oak Harbor cheerleading mini-clinic

The Oak Harbor High School Cheerleading Squads are hosting a Mini Cheer Clinic for grades K-4 on Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-12 noon at the Oak Harbor High School gymnasium. Registration ends Sept. 20.

What a fantastic Labor Day weekend it was in Port Clinton!  It was wonderful to see both locals and tourists enjoying themselves on the streets of our city!


Thunder on the Rock on Friday

The Danbury Laker Athletic Boosters would like to extend an invitation to everyone for their 'Thunder on the Rock' event to be held Friday, Sept. 13th at Cleats from 4:30-6:30 p.m.(prior to the Danbury vs St. Mary's game). Food and drink will be available to all for just $5. A special invitation is extended to area bikers to attend and show off their bikes.


Pridefest helps Wounded Warriors

Gary Rezabek, SFC US Army Retired, National Director 82nd Airborne Association and Secretary/Treasurer of the Joint Veterans commission of Cuyahoga County and Wounded Warrior Representative (pictured on the left) presents an award to Cindy Janos and Bill Mattern for organizing and hosting Pridefest. The fundraiser, held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Marblehead Estates and Yacht Club, raised $5,000 for the Wounded Warriors Project.


Public invited to view Port Clinton Lighthouse restoration

The Port Clinton Lighthouse Conservancy will host an open house at Brand's Marina this coming weekend to afford the public an opportunity to view the progress of their effort to restore the Port Clinton lighthouse. The public showing will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Brand's indoor facility located at the end of West Second Street. The security gate will be open for public access during those times.


PC defeats Clyde in soccer

Wednesday night Port Clinton boys soccer team hosted the Clyde Fliers at the stadium. The final score was Port Clinton 6,  lyde 3. The goals were produced by Josh Brown(2), Simon Shulz(3) and Carter Rumball (1). Assists were given by Josh Brown (2), Alec Ochs (1) and Carter Rumball (1). Tytan Rumball had 5 saves in goal for Port Clinton. There were 17 shots on goal by Port Clinton and Clyde had 8. 

Port Clinton’s record is currently 6-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference.
