Mona Rutger special guest at Conservation Day

The 9th Annual Conservation Day event will be held in front of the Camp Store at East Harbor State Park on Saturday, Aug. 10. The majority of the activities will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. This event is open to the public. Admission is free. Various agencies will be represented with displays and activities for kids and adults. There will also be food available for a donation.

Mona Rutger, founder of Back to the Wild Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Castalia will be a special guest. Mona has been nursing wildlife back to health and sending them back into the wild for over 20 years. Mona and her staff will be bringing their display of live birds including owls, hawks, an eagle, and various other live critters to this event. Don’t miss the chance to see these beautiful and fascinating live animals up close.
