The Ottawa Soil and Water Conservation District in cooperation with Winous Point Marsh Conservancy; ODNR Division of Wildlife, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service invite youth fifth through eighth grades to spend A Day on the Wild Side. The camp will be held on Thursday, July 24, at the Winous Point Hunt Club in Port Clinton from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Participants will want to bring waders or old tennis shoes, a change of clothes (just in case), binoculars or cameras and an appetite (lunch is included). Sessions included are: archery, bird banding, fishing, plant investigating, the importance of habitat, shooting, and the history of the Winous Point Hunt Club, North America’s Oldest Hunt Club.
