The 10th graduating class of Terra State Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing program received their nursing pins during a ceremony May 10 at the college.
Lori Keegan, MSN, RN, was the keynote speaker. She is an adjunct clinical instructor at Terra State and is currently the Clinical Manager of the Intensive Care Unit at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon.
“You are entering the profession of nursing at a time of great transition,” she told the graduates, siting the impact the Affordable Care Act will have on healthcare. “There will be a focus on prevention, and it will require a different skill set and knowledge.”
