For a number of years now, the Oak Harbor/Penta FFA Chapter has assisted the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau in delivering holiday baskets to families in need over the Christmas season.
On Thursday, Dec. 13th, , Mr. Neiderhouse’s Structural Engineering class was in charge of spreading the holiday cheer around town. The FFA’s delivery territory consisted of the Village of Oak Harbor with a total of 14 students helping out with the activity.
During the Christmas season, the Holiday Bureau makes preparations to help individuals and families in need through a strong base of support from individuals, schools, churches, and businesses. In the Benton, Carroll, Salem area, a total of 185 families were assisted. The students enjoyed putting smiles on peoples’ faces as they went door to door delivering the baskets and giving something back to their community.
