Immaculate Conception School fourth- and fifth-graders went on a Dragon Hunt at the Toledo Museum of Art recently. Students learned from their docent how and why dragons were incorporated into the pieces of artwork.
They saw oil paintings, pottery, silver pieces, tables and even ceilings painted with dragon creatures. After the tour, students were able to continue participate in an art session where they drew their own mystical dragon, created a story for the creature, and finished it into book form to take home.
Pictured here with their dragons are: Sammy Diaz, Gunar Zink and Ben Cadigan
