Four times per calendar year, the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District will highlight the accomplishments of its graduates who reside in our area, the nation, and the world. The B-C-S Alum Highlight will be featured in the Sampler and in other media throughout our area. BCS invites the community to submit nominations for individuals to be featured as the quarterly B-C-S Alum Highlight. Nominees must meet the following criteria:
1. Graduate of Oak Harbor High School and an alum for at least five years;
2. Made important and meaningful contributions to their community and/or their respective profession;
3. Possess a strong sense of community-mindedness and a commitment to excellence in their lives both personal and professional;
4. Be worthy of serving as a role model for the children of the B-C-S School District.
The first “Alum Highlight” featured in the April 2013 Sampler was Brigadier General Gregory Ihde (Class of 1972). In July 2013, Dr. Mike Stone (Class of 1980) was highlighted.
Nominations will be reviewed by the B-C-S Communications Committee. To nominate an individual(s), pick up a nomination form at the Board Office or go online to www.bcssd.com to print a copy of the nomination form, located under “District Home,” and click on the link “District Forms.”
