Terra State to host STEAM event

Terra State to host STEAM event

Area children from preschool through middle school are invited to enjoy a fun and educational event on April 15 at Terra State Community College.

Terra State students and faculty from a variety of areas, including the Early Childhood Education Department and the Terra Association of Future Teachers (TAFT), will host this STEAM event from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center on campus. STEAM stands for science, technology, education, arts and math, and provides the foundation for learning for young children while supporting the Common Core Curriculum.

Children can explore the world of STEAM as they experiment with rockets, design airplanes, engage in new computer technologies, explore pop-up playgrounds and discover the arts.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Stacey Pistorova at 419-559-2216.
