From Feb. 11-28 the Danbury High School P.A.W.S. Clug is holding a pet food drive to benefit the P.A.W.S Club Pet Pantry. The following donations are needed: cat litter, dry dog food, dry cat food , canned cat food and dog and cat treats. Monetary donations (checks only, made out to Danbury Local Schools, Attention P.A.W.S. Club) are also encouraged and will be used to purchase pet food.
Danbury Local Schools, through its Community Education Department, will be
offering a four-week session of Yoga beginning on Monday, March 4, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Room 21. Fee is $8 per class. Learn to reduce stress through proper breathing, stretching and relaxation. Yoga also compliments other forms of exercise. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and bring a mat or blanket.

Sean Black, Port Clinton High School senior, was awarded a scholarship to continue his bowling and education at Davenport University, Grand Rapids, MI.
In golf, Sean was a three-year letter winner in golf, a member of the SBC Championship team in 2011-12, All-SBC his junior and senior years, and Academic All-SBC as a Senior.

The Ohio Kiwanis’ Project Backpack provides backpacks to children in all 88 of Ohio's counties to Children's Service Departments for when children are removed from their homes on an emergency basis. Ohio District Kiwanis First Lady Cheryl Snellgrove has made this her year-long project. The backpacks are filled with personal items such as toothbrush, tooth paste, comfort bears, small blankets and other items, depending upon the need of each county.
