Ottawa County Transitional Housing and United Way

Ottawa County Transitional Housing Inc. operates Ruth Ann’s House and the Sutton Center Community Outreach Program.

Ruth Ann’s House provides housing for up to two years for women, with or without children, who are homeless. Most often our women are homeless due to domestic violence situations.
Ruth Ann’s House offers a safe environment that allows our women to become self-sufficient. While at Ruth Ann’s House the women have the opportunity to work on debt reduction, self-esteem, schooling, job seeking, parenting and life management skills. Ruth Ann’s House is partially funded through United Way of Ottawa County.
The Sutton Center Community Outreach Program this year served over 450 families by assisting them with managing a crisis situation. The Outreach Program assists families in developing goals that are personal and targeted to their needs. After developing a plan the Outreach Program directs and guides them to the many resources that are available throughout the community. This program is supported 100% through United Way.
United Way in Ottawa County has always looked at the needs of the county and direct their funding to those needs and, most importantly, the money raised in Ottawa County stays in Ottawa County. OCTHI is a small organization and 100% of our employees use payroll deduction to contribute to United Way because we know our contribution is working to assist women, children and families in Ottawa County.
Any and all donations make a difference-please make difference and give to United Way today! Thank you for your support.
