Oak House and United Way

November starts our United Way of Greater Toledo Campaign – a time to salute and donate to an organization that helps thousands of county residents each year.

Contributions to United Way of Greater Toledo, which includes Ottawa, Wood and Lucas counties, are vital to the continued success of their work within our community. Many of our organizations would not be able to help those in need without the support of our local United Way.
Today’s United Way is helping create community solutions in education, income, and health. United Way helps Oak House provide a safe haven for adults in our community recovering from mental illness by serving lunches and providing socialization and recreation. It helps in building a network that allows members to be self-sufficient, productive members of our society.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I am proud to let the community know what a difference United Way makes in the lives of our members and at Oak House. Let’s all remember the good United Way does within our community when you see the signs that say “WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN GIVING, ADVOCATING, AND VOLUNTEERING AS WE MAKE AN EVEN GREATER DIFFERENCE THIS YEAR!”
