I was happy to see the rendering of a possible view of downtown Port Clinton in The Beacon. It is exceptional, especially including the downtown and the waterfront as one package. However, I take exception with “Walleye Capital of the World.” If we keep using that tag line aren’t we potentially only appealing to a small part of the audience we want to reach? Why not use a more inclusive tag line like Fish. Play. Eat. Shop. Port Clinton, Ohio or - Where relaxing, shopping, touring and fishing come together – Port Clinton, Ohio.
