The Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services would like to thank all of the community members who have worked and contributed to meet the needs of the less fortunate this holiday season. There are often times when we see needs that government programs are not designed to meet, especially at the holidays. Your efforts exemplify the caring and giving community in which we live.
Thank you to 1812 Restaurant and Bar, Rosie’s Grille, their staff and vendors for continuing the annual Santa Benefit Breakfast which provides assistance to those in need during the holiday and throughout the year. Thank you to Port Clinton troop of the Girl Scouts of Northwest Ohio for your generous donations toward our emergency food pantry. Thank you to the Ottawa County Realtors for the generous donations of Christmas Gifts to our foster and other needy children. Thank you to the United Way and the Emergency Food and Shelter Program members for financially contributing to our emergency food pantry. Thank you to the Ottawa County Safety Council for your donations of non-perishable goods to our emergency assistance pantry. Thank you to Gwen Shipley-Lewis, of Elmore, for your generous gift of suitcases and children’s clothing. Thank you to the staff at Job and Family Services for connecting families to the donations and resources we have available to them. Thank you to the countless volunteers and anonymous donors who have given of themselves to help our entire community enjoy the holiday season. Our genuine thanks go out to those organizations and individuals who respond through volunteer hours, gifts, and financial contributions. You made a difference in someone’s life this year.
