Redskin bowlers clinch NOBC title

The Port Clinton Varsity Boys Bowling Team clinched the Championship of the Northern Ohio Bowling Conference vs. Gibsonburg at Tri County Bowl in Woodville Monday.

     Caleb Conrad led the 'Skins to a 2895-2149 victory with games of 192-256. Senior Sean Black added a 237 in his only game, but won the NOBC Player of the Year/High Average Award with 220.6. Jacob Reed rolled a 209, Kyle Radloff a 208, Darryl Trent a 207, and Brock Rider a 200. Jacob Kaiser rolled a 184 for Gibsonburg and Nathan Wallace a 181.
     Sean Black said, "It feels good to bring a Conference Title. After finishing runner-up the last two years, its great to be back on top. We still have work left to do."
     The Redskins ended 11-3 in Conference play, and are 14-5 overall.
    The Lady Redskins dropped a 2211-2192 decision to the improving Gibsonburg Girls. The Lady 'Skins dropped to 11-3 in Conference action, but ended with a second place finish. Alysia Zoeller rolled 167-201 and Reilly Wittman 142-179.
