Friday night was the kickoff to the high school football season in Northwest Ohio. All the area teams opened away from home, some far away. Danbury and Oak Harbor began the season with decisive victories, and Port Clinton lost to neighboring Woodmore.
Danbury dominated Open Door Christian Academy of Elyria, 67-0.
Oak Harbor defeated Brookside, 42-14.
Woodmore defeated Port Clinton, 55-7.
