Lady Rockets lose in Sectional

Bellevue 49 — OHHS 34
The Bellevue Lady Red used a 17-8 surge in the second quarter to pull away and sustain control in their 49-34 victory over Oak Harbor in the Division II Sectional Finals.
With an 11-9 lead following the first quarter, Bellevue, which improved to 17-4 with the win, outscored the Rockets 26-12 in the middle two quarters to build their lead.
Bellevue’s Leslie Raifsnider led all scorers with 22 points and and point guard Carly Santoro had 17 points.
The Rockets, who finish the season with a 7-14 record, were led by senior Allison Dunn, who had 11 points, and got nine points from forward Abbie Gezo.

Perkins 62 — OHHS 38
The Perkins Pirates steadily built their lead in the first two quarters before cruising to a 62-38 victory over Oak Harbor.
Perkins, which improved to 18-2 overall and 14-0 in the Sandusky Bay Conference (SBC), led 17-9 after the first quarter and 18-6 following the second quarter, helping them to 35-15 lead at the half.
Pirates forward Nick Williams led all scorers with 21 points and center Michael Ebert helped pace Perkins with 10 points.
Oak Harbor forward Trent Lacer had a team-high 11 points and A.J. Cecil and Greg Haar finished with six points apiece.
