Redskins lose final game

The Port Clinton Redskins lost their final game of the regular season Friday night at Clyde, losing their last 6 games of the season. Clyde secured second place in the Sandusky Bay Conference with the win, while Perkins went 12-0 in the SBC to win the title. Port Clinton played Tuesday night against Toledo Woodward in their Sectional Tournament opener at Oregon Clay High School. The results of that game were not available to us at press time.

Lady Redskins fall to Perkins in Sectional Final – The Port Clinton girls basketball team had difficulty all day with the Perkins defense, finally falling on Saturday by a 51-29 count in their Sectional Finals matchup with the Lady Pirates in Sandusky.
PC managed to score only 10 field goals on only 31 shots, and committed 21 turnovers. The Redskins, who did not have any players in double figures, were led by Hope Thorbahn with 9.
Coach Toby Bickel and his team learned on Monday that two of their players were named second team All Sandusky Bay Conference: Tiffany Colston and Hope Thorbahn. The Redskins ended their season with a 13-8 overall record, their best finish in several years.
