Port Clinton Redskin bowlers traveled to Riverview Lanes in Huron Wednesday, Dec. 18, and split matches with the Huron Tigers.
The Lady Redskins remain undefeated at 5-0 outlasting the Lady Tigers in a close match 2363-2263. Port Clinton trailed by 10 pins after the first Baker game but rebounded with 196-162-182-183 to earn the win.
Samantha Stroupe led the Lady Redskins with 177-145 for a 322 series. Reilly Wittman rollded 159-144 and Eryn Binder 151-149. Kassidy Mahler added a 163 to the game.
“Our girls didn’t bowl as well as we would have liked,” said Coach Bob Black. “After a low second game we trailed for the first time this year but they responded to the challenge and closed with four good Baker games. We have a good team, but we need lots of improvement and more consistency to be an elite team.”
PC’s boys dropped their fifth contest to Huron 2794-3012. Darryl Trent led the Redskins with 243-209 for a 452 series. Dave Wilburn rolled 171-224 for 395, Caleb Conrad 162-204 for 366 and Kordell Blankenship 181-174 for 355.
“Our boys are getting it together,” said Coach Black. “Our totals the last two matches have been in the 2790s, but a low score each team game has been hard to overcome. The last game and Baker were encouraging."
