Port Clinton boys edge Oak Harbor, 51-46

The Redskins jumped out to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter before an injury to Nathan Stubblefield allowed the Rockets to get back into the game. 

Oak Harbor outscored Port Clinton, 12-4, in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 25-22 and kept it close before the ‘Skins (5-8, 2-7 SBC) pulled away.

Stubblefield later returned and played sparingly, but did finish with 21 points to lead all scorers. Drew Fodor helped to pace Port Clinton with 10 points. Deshawn Johnson led the Rockets with 15 points and Andy Rathbun chipped in with nine.

PC only trailed 21-18 after the first quarter but fell behind 34-23 at halftime and 55-37 after being outscored 34-19 in the middle two quarters.

Nathan Stubblefield led the ‘Skins with 10 points. Drew Fodor finished with nine and Jordan Kleinhans had seven. 

Austin Spicer had 29 points, scoring in a variety of ways, and Dylan Bailey had 12 points as nine Polar Bears scored. 

Port Clinton hosts St. Mary CC on Saturday.
