Binder leads Lady Redskin bowlers to state tournament

Junior Eryn Binder saved her best performance for the District Tournament and led the Port Clinton Redskin Girls to their first OHSAA State Finals visit by rolling games of 178-192-169 for a 539 series, earning her a place on the All Tournament Team.

Binder received help from juniors Kassidy Mahler (181-143-193 for 517) and Alysia Zoeller (149-165-197= 511), Samantha Stroupe (148-169) and Reilly Wittman (141-158). Other team members are Jozlynn

Seamon and Katelyn Chapman. The Girls finished fourth at the Lima District Tournament Saturday to advance. Coldwater won the Districts, St. Marys placed second and Napoleon third.

“We’ve been waiting for Eryn to step up and she did in a big way today,”said Coach Bob Black.”She has been rolling some high games lately, but she put three together today, and we moved her to the anchor spot for the last four Baker games. Kassidy has continued her good bowling. Now we need all of them to bowl their best of the season Saturday.”
