Behind a key two-run single from Olivia Rollins, the Oak Harbor Rockets softball team defeated New Riegel, 4-2, last week.
Rollins drove in two runs with a two-out single in the top of the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie. Justine Webb went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI, Emma Vidal went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored and Maddy Rathbun scored a run to lead Oak Harbor.
It was an impressive win for the Rockets, who defeated a Blue Jackets team that came in ranked second in Division IV. The victory puts the Rockets at 11-4 on the season.
Emma Bergman went the distance, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits to go with five strikeouts and no walks.
Oak Harbor 6, St. Ursula 3
Trailing by a run, the Rockets scored three runs in the second inning to take the lead for good in their 6-3 victory over St. Ursula in non-conference action.
Brandy Lochotzki led the way, going 2-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and two runs. Maddy Rathbun, Chrislyn Stevenson, Olivia Rollins and Emma Vidal all finished with one RBI apiece.
Emma Bergman allowed one run on eight hits in seven innings. She struck out seven and walked one.
Oak Harbor 16, Bowsher 0
Oak Harbor scored eight runs in the first inning and controlled this one throughout, defeating Bowsher, 16-0.
Emma Bergman led the way, going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and three runs. Chrislyn Stevenson finished with two RBIs and Allison Wolf, Justine Webb, Theresa Stokes, Emma Vidal, Brandy Lochotzki and Maddy Rathbun all finished with an RBI.

The Rockets broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with two runs and added four more in the fifth before defeating St. Mary Central Catholic, 7-0, in Sandusky Bay Conference action.
Chrislyn Stevenson was the star, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple and three RBIs. Kimmi Wahlers finished with a double and two RBIs and Maddy Rathbun had a triple and two RBIs.
