The visiting Ottawa Hills Green Bears recorded six strikeouts and limited the Danbury Lakers baseball team to three hits and no runs in a 6-0 game played May 22 at LaFarge Field. Danbury shortstop Chase Botson paced the Lakers with two hits and Mike Stys had one. Starting pitcher Alec Calton and reliever Mike Stys combined for three strikeouts and three bases on balls in the loss.
This was the final game of the season as the Lakers posted an overall record of 7-14 and 3-9 in the TAAC. Since there were no seniors on this year's team, competing should improve in 2015, as this well-experienced youthful group strives for a better record next season.
