United Way invites community to Give, Advocate and Volunteer

With a little more than a month left in its 2012-2013 campaign, United Way in Ottawa County is approximately $15,000 short of its fund-raising goal. The Village Square

Happy New Year everybody!
We had 11 new homes built in the Village in 2012, and 16 house additions, which included seven decks. This was twice as many additions than last year and about same number of new construction. We built half a dozen garages and sheds and four fences (remember the good side faces your neighbor!). Jamestown Tavern put in an outdoor expansion and Bay Point built a new store. There were two Waterfront Development permits and the Planning Commission ruled on seven new cases at public hearings, including two subdivisions representing six new buildable lots. The Planning Commission also held several informal meetings with local developers for upcoming projects.
