Open Letter from Sheriff Levorchick to Ottawa County Citizens

Well, we are once again thrown full force into the summer months and the great migration of visitors to our awesome county. We are truly blessed to live in such a great county, which is one of the prime vacation and weekend destinations within the State of Ohio.

With the increased traffic from our visitors, come some who are not familiar with our roads nor with the exact location of their destination. Therefore, I ask that we all take stock in our own driving habits and slow down a little in order to ensure that we all arrive safely to whatever location we are traveling.

Reports of big fish being caught to the east, (Lorain and further east), have begun, so those fish have already left the west end and are on the move to their summer hunting grounds. However, there is still some pretty phenomenal walleye fishing to be had from Toledo to Vermilion.
