All nine taverns on Kelleys Island will be hosting the first Oc“Toga”Ween Pub Crawl from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. A party cruise has been scheduled on Goodtime Island Cruises for the event. The Goodtime I will leave Sandusky’s Jackson Street Pier at 6 p.m. and will depart Kelleys Island at 11 p.m., returning to Sandusky at midnight.
Tickets for the party cruise are $10. Passengers dressed in a toga or favorite costume will receive $10 in Kelleys Island Toga dollars to be used at participating island taverns during the pub crawl. Toga dollars can only be used on Oct. 31.
Join in the fun for special drink prices and “treats.” The first 200 participants in costume can obtain a treat bag at any Kelleys Island tavern. Then participants can crawl (don't run) to fun at the next tavern to obtain their next treat and become eligible to win one of three Kelleys Island prize packages.
A special “Toga Tram” will make continual rounds to all of the establishments that are not located in the immediate downtown area.
Prizes for the Oc“Toga”Ween Pub Crawl have been donated by Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line, Lake Erie Island Cruises, Jet Express, Island Breeze Cruises and other island establishments.
