|
Ten members and two guests of the North Central Ohio KOPS Honor Society, a division of Take Off Pounds Sensibly, met Nov. 14 at Berry’s Restaurant in Norwalk for the final 2009 meeting. The KHS is for TOPS members who have achieved their weight goals and are maintaining their losses within a 10-pound leeway. It meets four times a year with the purpose of supporting and encouraging one another for continued successful weight-loss maintenance. This KHS covers Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Seneca and Sandusky counties.
KOPS — Keep Off Pounds Sensibly — anniversary dates were honored for Marilyn Missler, of Fremont, for one year; Frances Sinclair, of Clyde, for seven years; Thomas Seman, of Oberlin, for 10 years; and Tana O’Donnell, of Wellington, for 35 years. Winners of the six-week contest were Magdalene Jenkins, of Elyria, and Frances Sinclair, of Clyde, who were tied with 490 points each. The next meeting of the North Central Ohio KOPS Honor Society is planned for 1 p.m. April 10 at Berry’s Restaurant. All TOPS members who are KOPS are invited to come.
