| Magruder CEO resigns |
Paul Druckenmiller, chairman of Magruder Hospital’s Board of Trustees, announced that the board accepted the resignation of President and CEO Cliff Harmon, who is moving on to pursue other interests. Michael Long, Magruder Hospital’s Senior Vice-President, who has held several leadership positions at the hospital for 20 years, has been appointed as Magruder’s interim President.
“We as an executive committee, accepted Cliff’s resignation with regrets,” said Druckenmiller. “Cliff is a fine man and has brought many good leadership development ideas to the hospital. He has decided there are other opportunities he wishes to pursue, and we respect his decision. The board wishes Cliff well.” Harmon took the helm of Magruder Hospital as president and CEO in June of 2007 when Dave Norwine retired after 14 years as the hospital’s President and CEO.
