BCS seventh grade Students of the Month

The seventh grade team at Oak Harbor Middle School has nominated several students as Sensational September Students. 

Stephen Reaper was nominated by Mr. McKitrick. “Stephen has started off the school year with the energy and willingness to participate in math class. Stephen’s actions have made a loud announcement of his intentions to succeed this school year. Keep it up,” said Mr. McKitrick.

Oak Harbor falls to Edison late, 14-7

In a defensive struggle, one or two plays can make or break a game.

With the game tied at 7 late in the fourth quarter, two runs that netted 77 yards set Edison up for the winning score, a three-yard run by Owen Moyer with 2:15 remaining that gave the Chargers a 14-7 victory over Oak Harbor last week.

The first big run, a 50-yarder by Moyer, was followed by a 27-yard dash by quarterback Keegan Hall that gave Edison a first-and-goal at the 3-yard-line.

Rockets score 24 unanswered points to defeat PC

Trailing by seven points at halftime, Oak Harbor could fold and drop to 0-4 on the season, or it could fight back and take control of its contest with rival Port Clinton.

The Rockets chose the latter, rallying to score 24 consecutive points in its 31-14 defeat of the Redskins in Sandusky Bay Conference action.
