Nov. 30 PC basketball game rescheduled

The Port Clinton Redskin Boys basketball game with Tiffin Columbian on Saturday, Nov. 30, has been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 23. The Freshmen Game will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Junior Varsity game and then the Varsity.

Champions for Children offers Waiver Day program

Port Clinton City School District Staff will have two additional training days to provide staff training necessary for implementation of several state and federal educational mandates. The waiver days will be held on Dec. 6, 2013, and Feb. 28, 2014, and school will not be in session for Port Clinton City School District students. Champions for Children, the school district’s before and after school program, will offer special programming for anyone that is in need of child care. The program held on the waiver days is  for children in grades Kindergarten through 5 from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. at Bataan Memorial Primary. Activities will include crafts, special projects, games, contests in a fun, safe educational setting.  

A form to enroll in the waiver day program was sent home with students or is available online at www.pccsd.net under the News. Registration deadline is Dec.3. Call 419.734.2815 ext. 1112 for more information.

Bodi N Balance celebrates its fifth year with a ribbon cutting

Trevor and Kearsten Tieche’s commitment to their education, business and well-being of others has made Bodi N Balance blossom. In 2006, Bodi N Balance LLC started with two clients in a living room but now is a booming fitness business with hundreds of clients. Trevor, who is a disabled infantry veteran, has his BS in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University and Kearsten, who formerly worked full time at Nationwide Children’s hospital PICU, has a Masters degree in Anesthesia from Case Western.
