Port Clinton fights hard to win over Perkins

The Lady Redskins fought hard to win a 3-2 match at home against Perkins.  This brings their record to 5-1 (2-0 in SBC).

Candace Smith & Meghan Gallogly (PC) def. Susan Jiang & Serena Bruno (P) 6-4, 2-6, 6-2

“I'm so proud of how the PC girls played tonight.  Both doubles teams had tough competitors and had to really fight back to win the 3rd sets.  We've been working hard at doubles play in practices and it paid off tonight.  Alyssa played very well to take 3 games from Olivia, considering Olivia rarely loses a game.  Kelsey continues to cruise at #2 singles,” said Coach Smith.

JV winners for PC were Hannah Roberts & Kassidy Mahler in singles.

PC travels to Maumee Valley Country Day on Saturday, August 30, for a Coaches Tournament match.

Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival Labor Day Weekend

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Labor Day weekend, will be the 10th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival in downtown Port Clinton. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The festival Friday night is opend from 5-9:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. There is a cover charge of $3 and children are free.

“With a regular cigarette the user is breathing in tar and the product is combusting,” said owner and vapor guru Michael. “The electronic cigarette is different in that contents are liquid vapor and they are not combusting as the user is inhaling. The product can still contain nicotine, but instead of smoke, water vapor is entering the body.”
