Girl Scouts Pack a Pick-up

Girl Scout Cadets, Daisies, Juniors and Brownies all worked together to Pack A Pick-up at the Harvest Festival in Port Clinton last weekend. The girls collected non-perishable food and personal care items to donate to the Ottawa County community food banks. By Saturday afternoon the Girl Scouts were half way to their goal of filling the pick-up. They had also raised $115 in cash donations. The Girl Scouts and their troop leaders were thankful that Harvest Festival goers were so generous.

The Building Doctors make “building calls”

Over 40 people attended the Building Doctor Clinic held on Sept. 26 in downtown historic Port Clinton.  The clinic featured Building Doctors Justin Cook and Scott McIntosh of the Ohio Historic Preservation Office who presented a free workshop that featured guidelines for renovation projects and ways to solve some of the most common problem of buildings dating from 1800 to 1955.  In addition, ten downtown property owners received free on-site consultations. The Building Doctor Program was a project of Main Street Port Clinton’s Design Committee.

Ribbon Cutting Held for JDM Structures

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for JDM Structures located at 2644 E. Harbor Road (SR 163) in Port Clinton on September 27.  Representatives from the Chamber’s Board congratulated JDM Structures on their grand opening and wished them many years of success!
