Emily’s GSE Jewelers celebrates one year anniversary

Oct. 1 marks the one year anniversary of Emily’s GSE Jewelers.  

Emily Baumert of Oak Harbor bought the business, formerly known as GSE Jewelers, when previous owners Roger and Linda Velliquette retired. Acting as store manager for 11 of the 25 years that GSE Jewelers was in operation, Baumert opted to buy the business after the Velliquettes offered the opportunity.

Beck Suppliers and BP make donation to Ruth Ann’s House

Beck Suppliers with the help of BP has made a donation to Ruth Ann’s House in the amount of $4,500. Ottawa County Transitional Housing Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides housing, supportive services and advocacy (Ruth Ann’s House) for the homeless women with or without children who are survivors of domestic violence. OCTHI guides and assists women on a self-directed basis in transition toward self-sufficiency and personal growth.

Port Clinton Seniors host Big Band Dance

Early reservations are recommended for PC Seniors' 10th Anniversary Big Band Dance, "Moments to Remember", reminiscent of proms, home coming dances and high school days. The dance will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3rd, from 2-5 p.m., at the Moose Lodge Hall, 1105 W. Lakeshore Drive, Port Clinton. Admission is $10 advance reservation or $12 at the door and includes an hors d’oeuvres buffet, door prizes, and 50/50 raffles.
