Rep. Redfern to hold Town Hall Meeting in Port Clinton

State Representative Chris Redfern (D–Catawba Island) will host a town hall discussion at Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, in Port Clinton on Monday, Nov. 11, at 9:45 a.m. 

Rep. Redfern holds town hall meetings throughout Erie and Ottawa Counties to listen to constituents’ ideas, concerns and feedback. He will also provide a brief overview of actions in the legislature for area residents to learn about and discuss state legislative issues. 

The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

Kiwanis Boys Basketball Program starts Nov. 16

The Port Clinton Kiwanis Club is once again sponsoring the 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Boys Basketball Teams to provide the opportunity for the boys to gain experience, learn the game and have fun playing basketball. The program starts Saturday, Nov. 16, at noon in the PCHS Gymnasium with a basketball clinic day. Participants will be assigned to teams and learn about the practice schedule that first day. Games are played at Port Clinton High School on Saturdays through January.

Redskins honor Kohlman in final game

During times like these, we truly realize what’s important in life.

As most of you probably know by now, 13-year-old Devin Kohlman is battling cancer. The good folks of Ottawa County, specifically Port Clinton, have shown their support for the young man. In fact, according to The News Herald, $2,234.97 was raised at the game by people sitting in the stands. Eryn Nason, a senior cheerleader for the ‘Skins, organized the event, known as the “Dash for Cash.”
