In charge of t-shirt sales at the Conference were (left to right) Rachel Reineck, Joe Brenner, Kathryn Mueller and Brendan Zeitheim.
It was a busy three days at Port Clinton High School as hundreds of students and student council advisors from across the state came to Port Clinton. Community members opened up their homes to help house and transport students throughout the three day event.
Students attended many small group work sessions, shared ideas, and received recognition during the event. Both middle school and high school level student council representatives attend the conference. On Friday evening, the Port Clinton High School gymnasium was transformed for the dinner banquet. Following dinner, students and chaperones went to Port Clinton Middle School for a dance.
The event was a year in the making. The Port Clinton City School District In-Service day was planned on April 25 around the conference. PCHS Leadership Council members and advisors Scott Cross and Mike Spencer organized the conference down to every detail. The theme, “Come Sail Away” was consistent throughout the event, from the banquet centerpieces by Otto & Urban to the snack cart made to look like a sailboat.
