Redskin sport passes available Aug 11

Port Clinton High School has sports passes on sale beginning August 11 in the PCHS Main Office from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday through Friday.  All-Sport passes admit the pass-holder to all home athletic events.  Adult passes will now be $50 and student All Sport Passes will be $25.  Senior Citizen Passport, for residents of the district age 60 and older, are free.  Residents can apply for a Senior Skins Passport at the high school office or Board of Education Office at 811 S. Jefferson Street, entrance at east end of the middle school or submit electronic application at pccsd.net under the “Community” link. 

SBC ticket policy:  tickets are $5 pre-sale for adults and students; all tickets are $6 at the gate for both students and adults.  Pre-sale tickets or sport passes can be purchased at the high school main office from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. each school day.

ICS kicks off 90th birthday celebration

As kids check off their school supply list and ready their backpacks, Immaculate Conception School prepares for a year of celebrating 90th years of providing children in Port Clinton with a faith based education.  Immaculate Conception School opened its doors in 1924 and continues to provide excellence in Catholic education each and every day.  ICS offers small class sizes, a staff that is unmatched in its dedication to each and every child, an education enhanced with technology, and a value and faith centered foundation.  Before and after school care is offered daily.   

Immaculate Conception School is now accepting registrations for the 2014-2015 school year for preschool and grades K-5.  ICS is open to children of all faiths and tuition assistance is readily available.  Anyone wishing to get more information on Immaculate Conception School should call the school office at 419-734-3315, or visit us on August 17 during our Family Fun Day from 11:45 a.m. through 1 p.m.  Fun day will be complete with face painting, bounce house, hot dog lunch and much more 90th birthday fun.  Immaculate Conception School welcomes all to come and see the good things that are happening at ICS.

Chevys take first, second and third at Chamber car show

On Saturday, August 2, the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce put on the 21st annual Jerry Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show in downtown Port Clinton. Cars, trucks and bikes lined Madison Street starting at 8 a.m., but unfortunately the rain kept some people away from staying until 3 p.m. when the car show was supposed to end.

There was a DJ, 50/50 raffles and door prizes. 72 cars attended the show.
