Brock Moore is PCHS February Student of the Month

Port Clinton High School recently announced that the Student of the Month for February is Brock Moore. 

Brock has devoted much of his four years of high school to Redskin athletics. He is a four year member of the football team, earning three varsity letters and Honorable Mention All SBC. As a four year member of the basketball team, he was named captain, and SBC Honorable Mention.  In Redskin track he is the SBC Champion in Long Jump, Runner up in the 100 meter and holds the school record in the 100 meter. At PCHS, he is a Senior Class Officer and a Freshmen Mentor. Brock is the son of Ralph and Lisa Moore. Next year he plans to major in Nursing at the University of Toledo.

Port Clinton girls finish season at 18-5

Tiffany Colston, who played her final game during her storied career at Port Clinton High School, drives and scores against Bowling Green.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately for the Port Clinton girls basketball team, it happened a little sooner than expected. The Redskins fell, 68-48, to Bowling Green in a Division II Sectional Final last weekend, a difficult end to another fine season that saw Port Clinton finish with an 18-5 record.

Despite trailing just 30-27 at halftime, the ‘Skins saw the Bobcats pull away by outscoring them 25-16 in the third quarter.  Bowling Green (13-11) had four players finish in double figures, led by Tyanna Smith, who scored 23. Kendal Glandorff finished with 12 points and Livvy Dill and Hanna Williford had 10 points apiece. Tiffany Colston led Port Clinton with 18 points, Hannah Weaver chipped in with 14 and Emily Ashley finished with eight.
